We had a lovely time! A lovely warm up to ‘Can’t stop the feeling’ from the film trolls. I love the way I throw kariography at you and you just DO IT!!!
Who Knew – a quick recap on the harmonies and a sing along. We talked a lot about how to hit the high notes and I taught a couple of techniques to help with this.
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road – we made a start with the harmonies on the chorus (all oohhh and ahhhh) I’ll make the harmonies available but I’ll be teaching more as the weeks go on.
CHASING CARS!!! Our marvellous recording. What do you think?
Let it Be – just a quick sing through tonight – I promise I’ll make a start on the teaching next time!
We finished with a lovely gentle seated yoga session with Maria as a little bit of self care for us all x
It was amazing to be nominated for the Impact Award at the ICS awards last night – although we didn’t win, you’re all winners to me.
We’ve been asked to provide something as a choir for the BACCN conference in September which is great!
Alison and I met and discussed getting us all together face to face to sing, rehearse and record something for the State of the Art conference in December. This is likely to be in November as this gives us time for things to settle down. It’s going to be in Nottingham as it’s central and we are hoping to get a room at QMC. We’d like a 3 hour afternoon rehearsal with the option for people on stay later, have some social time and stay over if necessary. We would love AS MANY of you as possible to come so that we can meet you and to be a part of the project. For those singers unable to attend, we plan to create a virtual recording so that we can include as many voices as possible. Loads of people were really keen tonight! Spread the word!!!
Thank you as ever for your energy, voices and fabulous rendition of Happy Birthday!!!!!
